boracay, here I come!

I'm leaving for Boracay tonight! 10 days on a beach, ahhh. It's my first beach vacation. My first real vacation, really, that involves going away. I've had long weekends in New York, Montreal, and Vermont, but nothing like this.

Also, I've packed only a carry-on for this trip, which is kind of a big deal. I have a hard time doing that for just a weekend!

I'll be back in Beijing at the beginning of January and I don't plan on spending much time online between now and then. It will be nice to get away from the noise of the internet, I think. But it will mean no blogging, which I think will be weird because it will be the longest time I've not blogged since beginning over a year ago. We'll see how it feels.

In the meantime, thank you so much for visiting me here in my corner of the internet. I hope you relax, eat a lot, and are merry over the next 2 weeks.
