This background (via Elise) has been the wallpaper on my laptop for some time now. Every once in a while I catch sight of the words and I smile, hoping they're true. Knowing they are.
It reminds me of a conversation I had with Cara last year. We were sitting in her room in Vanier, talking about the future and how it would be a long time before we could afford the kind of lifestyle we dream of sometimes. I said:
"Either we will have rich friends who can pay for us to go out or we will have poor friends who will sit and eat Mr. Noodles with us."
We laughed and laughed and she wrote my words on a sticky note and stuck it on her wall.
