Sunday smatterings.

// Joshua Radin tweeted about this video this weekend and I've been listening to it over and over ever since.

// I'm sipping green tea. I haven't had any in ages; I'd forgotten how much I love it. Hot or cold.

// Time "fell back" last night. I'm a fan. I woke up around 7 this morning, which meant it was 8 "old time." I was rested and felt like I was getting a head start on the day. Nan had changed a couple of the clocks but not all of them, so as I wandered around the house, I felt as though I was time traveling. Was it 7 or 8? Earlier or later? (Now I want to read The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I've seen the movie but have yet to read the novel.)

// Mom gave me a beautiful card for my birthday. It was a "Birthday To-Do List." A few of my favourite items on the "list":
  • Don't sit around waiting for somebody else to make you happy. Happy is a do-it-yourself kind of thing.
  • Forgive others, and when you need to, forgive yourself.
  • See the good all around you, even if you have to squint sometimes.
  • Love who you are, and know that you are loved. Always. Always. You are loved.
Thanks, Mom. (And thanks, Hallmark.)

// I'm loving these quotes right now:

"Life, even in the hardest of times, is full of moments to savor. They will not come this way again, not in this way." - Paula Rinehart

"There are only two words that will always lead you to success. Those words are yes and no. Undoubtedly, you've mastered saying yes. So start practicing saying no. Your goals depend on it! - Jack Canfield

  1. You have to read Time Traveler's Wife! It's so good. The way it is written is really interesting. But it made me cry. Just a warning.
