happy saturday!

This week was bittersweet. I'm so excited to be on summer vacation and to be headed home to Canada tomorrow(!), but it was hard to say goodbye to my kiddos.

I want to remember S sadly counting down the last days of school and saying, "I like this food!" every day at lunch time. I want to remember M saluting me and his few (but extra meaningful) hugs. I want to remember E throwing her arms around me. I want to remember D saying, "Goodbye, Miss Amanda!" every day after school. I want to remember the few times I made V smile. I want to remember that A wanted to hold my hand and have me walk with her every morning.

This year was intense. I think it was my most difficult career-wise (which maybe isn't saying much, since I'm only 3 years in), but I learned a lot. I'm excited for next year, but definitely glad to have a break.

So tomorrow I will get on a plane and I'll miss Tony (he'll join me in three weeks), but I'll be busy reading library books, visiting family, sleeping, and getting ready for the wedding!
