This is the screenshot I posted to Facebook yesterday, mocking my friends and family back home whose forecast called for another winter storm despite the fact that it's been spring for almost a week.

I'm not jealous of their snowbanks (although I am of their snow days), but the truth is, they shouldn't be jealous of me either.

What I neglected to mention: the AQI. Air Quality Index. The three words that are constantly on your mind if you live in Beijing. Today's AQI? Over 300. Hazardous.

Instead of wearing winter coats, we're wearing face masks. Jealous?
