This week was so full of happiness that I don't know if I can even remember all of what made me happy. But, while I'm basking in post-happy bliss feelings, I'll list what I can remember:
+ I graduated! With my Bachelor of Education! 60 credit hours complete in 10 months! And a 4.1 GPA!
+ The convocation ceremony was outside! STU has a gorgeous courtyard and weather permitting, convocation is outside. Unfortunately, it down-poured on the day of my BA grad so I had my fingers crossed pretty much all year, hoping to graduate outside in a space where I spent a lot of time over the past 5 years.
+ Wing Night at Snooty Fox with friends.
+ Breakfast at the Big Stop with Melissa the morning of grad.
+ Holding Jess' new baby Noah. I've known her since the third grade and she graduated Wednesday, too.
+ Driving everywhere with the windows down, not caring what the wind did to my hair because I hadn't used a brush, let alone a hair dryer or straightener.
+ Celebrating graduating with friends at Snooty and then Dolan's and then the Diplomat. I didn't get home until 4am! (Thank you again, Alex!)
+ Meeting new people that night.
+ Ashley (a friend who now lives in Alberta) is driving cross country and just happened to be in Fredericton Wednesday so she came to convocation and I got to hang out with her after!
+ I spent the 3 nights I was in Fredericton at Melissa's apartment. She was a superb hostess, making me feel right at home, letting me sleep in her bed while she slept on the futon, and making me popcorn in a pot on the stove.
+ Her shower had fantastic water pressure!!! And we all know how important that is to me.
+ Family and friends coming to the convocation. (Thanks again, Emily!)
+ Blowing a kiss to my mom during convocation.
+ Supper at Isaac's Way and dessert at the Big Stop with my family.
+ Nan and Dan taking me out for supper tonight.
+ Drinking my first Molson Canadian and deciding it was good.
+ Buying new (and much-needed) clothes that were 50% off.
+ Smiling. And laughing. So much smiling and laughing.

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing, exciting and brilliant time of life you are in RIGHHT NOW. These are the moments to cherish as you move forward, and I know you are feeling trepidation about the big picture, and I understand why, but remember to KEEP doing the best you can to just savour it all. Be proud of your hard work, positive spirit and amazing accomplishments and just take each new day from here on one step at a time. And keep blogging. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!
