happy friday!

It's Friday! The Friday of a long weekend! Hooray! Here's some of what made me happy this week:

+ Making the decision to stay home sick on Monday. I tend to feel guilty for missing work, even when it's for a legit reason. I wasn't happy to be sick, but I laid on the couch all day because I knew I needed to. Not feeling guilty about it -- that's the happy part!

+ Receiving the "hope is the thing" necklace. I even loved the packaging (above photo)! Isn't it sweet? I'm not sure why, but "enjoy" is one of my favourite words. Seeing it handwritten in pretty script made me smile.

+ My cooperating teacher sent me home a bit early on Tuesday because I was still sick. I appreciated her kindness!

+ My friend, Annie, leaving me a surprise at my door. She gave me the cutest card and a Little Miss Sunshine mug! It made my day!

+ My Nan sent me an Easter card, too!

+ I also received one of these postcards from You Can't Be Serious! I can't wait to hang it on my wall! (It's actually a bit bigger than a postcard and will make a rad piece of art.)

+ My students always make me happy. This week was no exception.

+ The fact that I'm on my way to Montreal for the weekend! I cannot wait to see friends, explore, and see Ingrid Michaelson in concert!
