happy friday!

I know that most people are probably thinking (or saying!) TGIF but I'm wishing it wasn't. Today being Friday means that it's the weekend. Which means there are only two more days until Monday. Which means there are only two more days until I'm back in class. Not kindergarten, but university classes. Definitely not as much fun as teaching 5 year olds or being on vacation.

Anyway, it is Friday, so here are some of the things that made me happy this week:

Nan made her amazing pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! I posted the recipe here if you're interested.

I'm back home now and the first thing I did was go for a run on the treadmill. I missed it a lot over the break! (I never thought I would miss a treadmill but I'm glad I do!)

This was my breakfast yesterday. I found waffles in the freezer, I'm in love with the polka dot mugs my mom got me for Christmas, and my new Keurig is amazing!

There were new episodes of Parenthood and Grey's Anatomy this week. Do you watch either?

Alex took me out for supper last night and after the meal the waiter gave us suckers. I know I'm not 5 but I still let out an "ooh!" of excitement.

Alex also did some tweaking on sunshine and whimsy. and now there aren't borders around my images! Yay!

I skyped with one of my best friends for 4 hours last night! 4 hours! It was long overdue. It's hard going from seeing someone all the time to not seeing them for months at a time. (She's one of the people I said goodbye to here.)

I'm going shopping for bridesmaid dresses today with my best friend, Tiff! She's getting married in June and she's asked me to be in her wedding. I couldn't be more excited for her and her fiancĂ©!

Leave me a comment or link up so that I know what made you happy this week!

  2. Lots of things I overhear at the preschool make me happy on a semi-regular basis. I would like to share with you now my favorite from this week. Picture an adorable four-year-old, hands folded behind his head, grinning in self-satisfaction. Then imagine you hear him say the following, "Yup, it feels pretty good to be able to tie your own shoes. Yeah, these things are pretty important. "
