happy Friday!

Another week gone by... phew! I can't decide if it felt long or short. Maybe both? Anyway, here are a few small things that made me happy:

French Vanilla instant coffee that my Nan gave me. Fast and delicious. Perfect for early mornings.
(Cute moment: I had a cup one morning right before school started. I was working one-on-one with the students and one little boy asked me, "Did you eat cookies?" When I asked him why, he said, "Because your breath smells good! Like cookies!" It was definitely the coffee, but I guess cookie breath is better than coffee breath!)

I fell asleep on the couch at 8:30 Monday night. It was wonderful. In fact, I got to bed at a decent time every night this week! If that's not happy, I don't know what is.

Our dryer broke, which isn't happy... but the fact that we now have a new dryer is! Hooray for clean, dry clothes!

I tried Second Cup's Holiday London Fog yesterday. Soothing. There's just something about having a hot drink in your hands to sip at. Reading blogs while sipping... even better. And oh, their holiday cups. Love.

Errands. That's right, doing errands made me happy. I walked around downtown yesterday, picking up this and dropping off that, and the sky was gray and the clouds were heavy. It felt like a big blanket was enveloping the city.

The school had a Remembrance Day ceremony yesterday and it made me happy to hear the students sing songs about peace and remembering. It made me happy to see that they seem to have an understanding of what today is about. Even my kindergarteners seemed to get it when I read this book to them.

What made you happy this week?
