birthday recap.

My 22nd birthday was a success:

There were birthday balloons. 

There was a birthday cocktail - Candy Apple!

There was a birthday cake and birthday candles and a birthday wish. 

There were birthday surprises. 

There were sweet and thoughtful birthday gifts and birthday cards. 

There were great friends and lots of laughs. 

There were also tears. If this birthday had a subtitle it would be "It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To." 

Another subtitle might be "22: The Philosophical Year."

There were inappropriate jokes. 

There was a sock-puppet show. 

There was champagne and lots of "Here's to the times..."

There were birthday phone calls. 

I have the best friends, but I already knew that.
