happy friday!

This was one of the longest short weeks ever. We had Monday off (I spent it relaxing—reading, taking a long bath, having a 2 hour nap), but the rest of the work week was busy with an all-day field trip, student led conferences, my formal evaluation, and regular work things.

Honestly, I can't think of many specific happy things, I just know that overall, this week was good. And now I'm sitting on my couch, French vanilla macchiato in hand, blogging and reading blogs. When T gets home, I think we're going to order Indian and watch House of Cards. Or maybe Gilmore Girls; we just started season 6 and last night, T turned to me and said, "I don't like Rory!" I've never heard of anyone not liking Rory! (Although I have to admit, this is my second or third time watching the entire series and I'm just noticing how selfish and self-centered Lorelai and Rory can be. Anyone else think so?)

Oooh! Just thought of a specific happy thing! My mom sent me more of my favourite coffee! Second Cup's Caramelo!

Please, please tell me what made you happy this week! You can leave a comment or link-up with your own post; I'd love to read it!

  1. Things that made me happy this week: starting my new lifestyle change and making it past day 3 (my usual give up point!), getting mail, and drinking more tea and less coffee. Never thought that would be a happy thing, but I forgot how much I love tea!

  2. Happy Friday! Your week sounds wonderful! One of my good friends is obsessed with Gilmore Girls and she really doesn't like Rory either (I've always kind of liked her, but after re-watching it recently on Netflix, I don't like her as much as I thought I did, lol).

This week was CRAZY (almost at the end of the semester), but I was really happy that I was able to get my last formal observation done (for teaching) and some major to-do list items crossed off! Also, it was my boyfriend's birthday yesterday, so we had a nice dinner and we'll be going out of town for a mini-vacation this weekend.

I don't think I commented on your Chinese wedding post, but oh, man, it was so wonderful to read! You and Tony both looked amazing and you can definitely see the love between you guys and that the family has for you both! Can't wait to read about the Canadian celebration (:

  3. Hi Amanda, I simply love your blog. The best part about doing around the world in 40 bags was to discover your blog. I took a nice stroll around London eye and Southbank with my husband last weekend and it was so beautiful! It was warm, the trees were in full bloom and the sky was clear...very unlike London's weather. It was such a happy start to the week. Hope you are doing good.

  6. I love tea, too! Thinking I'm gonna have to do another David's Tea order soon.
