hello, Monday!

The weekends always seem to go by so fast, don't they? This weekend, I caught myself thinking, "I wish weekdays and weekends were a 4/3 ratio." Luckily, that's exactly what this week will be.

Anyway, it's Monday now, which means I'm linking up with Lisa to say hello, and there's a lot to say hello to!

Hello, grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup -- the ultimate comfort food.

Hello to staying at Nan's for the weekend. It was the quick getaway that I needed. (Of course, I wish it had been longer).

Hello, quick visits with my uncle, aunt, and cousin. (My dad's brother and sister).

Hello, card games. Nan won at Cribbage and I won at Crazy Eights (the first hand anyway).

Hello, finally having time to read. I finished two books this weekend! Silver Girl and Room.

Hello, two more birthday suppers. Both with family. One of Chinese and one of goulash. (There was only cake at one of these. Ice cream cake. Yum.)

Hello to hot chocolate with peppermint tea -- a most fantastic combination.

Hello, Aveeno hand cream and hello, cocoa butter. I'm counting on the both of you to get me through the winter!

Hello to digging out my mittens and scarf. I don't think it will be too long before I need them, especially with playground and bus duty!

What are you saying hello to this week?

  1. Wow...I am sooo trying the peppermint tea with hot chocolate combo. Why on earth have I never before? I have, however, done hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps, but tea is much more appropriate for everyday!

  2. Ok I am SO going to try the hot chocolate/peppermint tea. Know why? Because tomato soup & grilled cheese is one of my fav's too!!

Oh, little tip. Aveeno hand cream, put a teeny bit on your lips at night when you go to sleep. Buh-bye chapped lips :)

  4. Dalyce - Hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps... that's something I'll have to try!

cdncowgirl - Thanks for the tip! Let me know if you do try the hot chocolate and tea. And I did like Room; it was really interesting how it was told from Jack's point of view!
