weird dreams.

I had some weird dreams last night...

I dreamed that Chapters was closed because they were putting down new carpet. Somehow I managed to get into the store anyway and when an employee saw me, they told me the store was closed. Of course, I said I would leave, but then the friendly employee asked me if I would mind staying and helping them clean. I told her I couldn't because I had to meet someone and she told me if I didn't help, I could never shop there again!

I dreamed that I was at Starbucks with my mom and all of a sudden, she got mad at me because the Valentine's Day card I gave her this year wasn't as good as last year's. She said, "I don't think you love me anymore!"

I dreamed that I went for a walk with my best friend, Emily. We were walking around our school and I was wearing rubber boots. Suddenly, there was water everywhere, including in my boots! Guess what else was in my boots... little fish! Emily yelled, "Watch out for the squid!" I tried to avoid the squid, but he squirted me with black ink. (Do squids squirt ink? Or is that just octopuses?)

I dreamed that I was walking around in Chapters. (This must have been before I was banned forever, but after the squid incident.) Emily came up to me and passed me a brown paper bag. She cheerfully said, "Here's the squid!" and walked away. I said something in a panicky voice along the lines of, "Emily! It's going to attack me again!" She nonchalantly replied, "Nah, it's dead." Just then, a tentacle slipped out of the bag and I noticed one little squid eye peering out. I dropped the bag and ran away screaming, "It's not dead!" The squid chased me around bookshelves!

I dreamed that I had a long heart-to-heart with my favourite teacher from high school. We talked about school, teaching, work, and life.

Needless to say, I didn't sleep very well.

P.S. I mentioned the other day that yesterday was my first day at my internship placement in kindergarten. It couldn't have gone better!

  1. Happy that the Ks didn't scare you away from teaching! :) Also, those are some pretty freaky dreams! I haven't had anything that weirds since fish were jumping out of my fish tank, snakes slithering out of my sinks, and all the houses and places I ever lived got mashed into one. That time, my recurring dream also popped in (I had to try and run to an elevator in a white hallway with lots of doors while wrapped in a towel holding a box trying desperately not to drop the baby powder). Is the octopus linked to any calamari eating lately? Or is calamari squid? Bah! Anyways, never a restful night with those dreams. Hopefully you sleep better tonight!
